Caashflow.
Your Money. Finally Visible.
You don't need another budget template.
You need to see what’s happening with your money.
Caashflow is a different way to look at your personal finances, helping you understand your real numbers, see what’s coming, and make more informed decisions without the guilt, judgement or rigid rules that often come with traditional budgeting.
$349 | 90 minutes | 1:1 with Linja
No budget lecture. No judgement. No telling you what you “should” be doing with your money.
Just your actual numbers, a clearer picture and somewhere solid to start.
You know that feeling when you really don’t want to look?
You know there’s money coming in. You know there’s money going out. Somehow, the bills are getting paid. Sometimes, even on time.
But if someone asked you where your money was going, or you suddenly need to pull together your expenses for a loan application, you’d probably need to open 6 apps, check three (or more) bank accounts and quietly hope nobody looks too closely.
Hey, I’m Linja!
I'm a registered BAS Agent but I don't lodge BAS.
I work in school terms because I have school-age twins. I protect my capacity because I know the reality of trying to manage all the things while battling working memory glitches, object permanence, time blindness and impulsivity.
I was diagnosed ADHD at 38, and I see the gap between making the money and not knowing what happens to it afterwards. The reality of juggling cashflow, lodgement dates and paying the right things at the right time can feel like you’re drowning when you’re also trying to stay on top of parenting, running a household, running the business and trying to get some sleep.
I’ve worked with clients who have businesses in the arts, real estate, trades, products, services, health professionals, property development, and more. It doesn’t matter if you have a store front, an online store, work from home, or are part-time, full time or have a side gig.
If the numbers side of your business doesn’t make sense, you need a friendly face to help you learn what all the jargon means to you, and how to pull it all together as simply as possible.
After 25 years in small business support, I decided to lean in to what I’m actually good at: sitting with someone in their reality until this stuff actually makes sense. And so, this framework was born.
I don't take your books away and hand them back done. I work through them with you, in real time, until you don't need me standing next to you anymore. We start from where you actually are, not where the ATO thinks you should be.
That's the whole point.
Why the usual approach doesn't actually fix your problem
Most bookkeepers offer to do the work for you. That gets your BAS lodged. Occasionally, it’s even lodged on time.
The usual model
You hand over your file. Someone else reconciles it, sends you something to sign, with an amount to pay (and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a few days notice).
They’re working with the data that’s automatically going into the Xero file. But what if that’s not the whole story? You’re assuming that they have the whole picture and that your lodgements are correct… but how would you know if they weren’t?
This framework
You're in the file with me, every session.
I explain what we're doing and why, as we go. There is no assumed knowledge, no acronyms left hanging.
At the end of our session, you're not waiting on anyone to tell you what your numbers mean. You understand your file, your obligations and how to make sure the data is ready to go as the quarter ends, not 24 hours before the payment (that you don’t have) is due.
“The problem was never that you’re bad at numbers. It’s that nobody ever actually taught you... they just took the work off your hands and left the gap exactly where it was.”
You don’t need to commit to a program.
You might need one session. You might need a few.
You might just come back every few months, or a couple of times a year when something new comes up.
There’s no set pathway, because your business isn’t the same as anyone else’s.
We start where you are, and it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
01
Before we meet, you tell me what you’re currently stuck on and what you’d most like to get sorted.
02
We work through that together: for 90 minutes, we look at your actual business, your actual numbers and your actual struggles. I’ll explain what’s happening, answer your questions and help you work through the problem.
03
You leave knowing what to do next. Not a perfect system that you’ll never look at again.
You leave with clarity.
You leave with at least one (usually 4-5) things resolved/set up/understood, what still needs attention (and how to fix it)
and what your next step is.
That’s the Penny Drop
Foundations
Digital ID set up and the ATO portal walked through properly
Your Xero file built and structured for how you actually work
Books caught up to current. And no, it doesn’t matter what state they're in right now
So … what can we do in a Penny Drop session?
Pretty much anything business numbers related that’s making your brain hurt.
-
Cool, that’s fine: it’s a skill. If nobody has actually shown you before, why would you understand? We’ll slow it down and make sense of what’s actually going on.
-
That’s my favourite. Weird? Maybe. Has it helped most of my clients? Absolutely, yes. We walk through it all together to untangle it, put guardrails in place and set up systems so it stays squeaky clean (Mostly. We’re human, after all, things happen)
-
I’m not called the ‘bookkeeping whisperer’ for nothing. Reports don’t make sense if you’ve never learned the language. You wouldn’t land in a foreign country and suddenly be fluent in the language, bookkeeping in business is a bit like that.
-
Ah, cash flow. You devil. We can look through you money, in real time, name what is coming in, what’s going out and direct our attention to understanding everything around this space.
-
Any chance you are neurodivergent? There’s a whole added layer of complexity when a brain can understand the logic behind something, or know intellectually that this work is required and important and yet still behave like a stubborn donkey and absolutely refuse to initiate.
Ask me how I know… -
Okay, maybe this is my favourite thing to help clients with. You don’t need to be able to articulate what the problem is. If all you know is that there IS a problem, or something isn’t sitting right, that’s more than enough for me to work it out.
I know where to look, what questions to ask. Then we resolve them, together.
If you’re still not sure, here’s a brief summary of what I make sure you’ll understand after our time together
Obligations & Tax
What BAS, GST and PAYG actually mean for your business (no acronyms left unexplained)
How tax fits your specific situation, so EOFY stops being a surprise
Working with your accountant: what they're asking for and how to prep it
Cash flow + Reports
Seeing clearly what's coming in and going out, in real time + stop living by your bank balance.
Building the habit of looking forward, not only reconciling backward
A working system so cash flow stops being a source of dread and becomes something you check on purpose
Understanding your numbers so your decisions become deliberate and not reactive.
Sustainability
How business finances connect to personal + the boundaries, and the habits around it
A routine or system you'll actually keep, not a perfect one designed for someone else
Ready for The Penny Drop?
90 minutes. Just you, me and the thing you’ve been avoiding.
$349
Your session includes:
90 minutes of personalised 1:1 support
Working through your actual bookkeeping
At least one problem solved, in real time. Usually more
Plain-English explanations (with a helping of examples because: ADHD)
Practical next steps
No judgement. EVER.
No ongoing commitment.
Payment is made when you book.
You don’t need to know exactly what you need help with, you just need to know that something isn’t making sense.
“Linja helped within the hour with things that had been bugging me for months.”
This is for you if…
Your books are behind and you're avoiding looking at them
You've got a Xero file but no real idea what it's telling you
You want to actually understand your numbers, not just have them handled
You're tired of finance language that assumes you already know what it means
You’re losing sleep over cash flow and terrified of getting it wrong.
This isn't for you if…
You want someone to take your bookkeeping off your plate long-term (though I can recommend some amazing bookkeepers)
You're after a self-paced course with no one to sit with you
You need something lodged urgently this week. I can do plenty of things, lodgments are not one of them.
“Sitting down together has finally got me to a point where finances within the biz don’t consume my every thought, and I don’t panic taking days off for my mental health. I tried a couple of bookkeepers before finding her, and no one even comes close to the help, understanding and clarity Linja has given me.”
What happens after you book?
01 - Choose your time
Pick a time that works for you from my available appointments.
Please note: I’m a mother of neurodivergent pre-teen twins. School holiday bookings are not available.
02 - Pay on booking
Your payment is taken securely when you book, so there’s nothing else to organise or remember.
Yes, it’s a legitimate business expense.
03 - Tell me what’s going on
You’ll fill in a (very) short questionnaire so I can understand what you’d like to work on before we meet.
Reminder: “I don’t know” is an acceptable answer.
04 - I’ll be in touch before our session
Usually just to say hello, confirm that I’ve booked your session and to send instructions to invite me into your Xero file (to save time on the day)
05 - We make it make sense
This is the whole point. No homework (unless you want it), no judgement. Just a little more clarity than you had 90 minutes earlier.
